RIVER LEE NAVIGATION
The Lee Navigation runs from rural Hertfordshire into the heart of London; a picturesque and unbroken walking and cycling route runs the entire length of the river.

Surround yourself in East London's gritty history and enjoy some lovely views when you take a trip to Three Mills. You may even catch one of the many events and performances that take place throughout the year at Three Mills Island.

Off the banks of the River Lee, you will find a myriad of channels known as 'The Bow Back Rivers'. Here there once stood numerous mills that would have milled corn and gunpowder, among many other products. The two replacement mills you can see today, milled grain for the gin distilling industry.

The most significant monument by far in the area is the amazing Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Walk the whole area and explore how, together with local communities, lottery funding and other agencies, the Canal & River Trust is making life better by water.
