Refuse is collected twice a week on Tuesday and Friday; recycling is collected once a week on a Friday. Collection days may vary during Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays when the council will generally arrange collection a day later.

If you have bulky non-domestic waste items which you wish to dispose of, please do not leave these items in the bin store, the borough will not collect these. Please arrange a collection directly with London Borough of Tower Hamlets by booking a ‘Bulky Waste Collection’ HERE.
 
Each household has two free ‘Bulky Waste Collections’ per year. The service is for household waste from your own flat only, and the council can take up to five items per collection.
